Weevio Cloud runs a continuous background process that keeps PIMS and Shopify in sync. Once configured, products, inventory levels, and orders flow automatically between the two systems.
Sync Directions
At a high level, there are two sync directions:
- Inventory Sync (PIMS to Shopify): Products and quantity levels flow from PIMS to Shopify. When you update an inventory item in PIMS, the changes automatically propagate to your Shopify store.
- Order Sync (Shopify to PIMS): When a customer places an order on Shopify, the order is automatically created in PIMS via webhook, including all line items, shipping charges, and discounts.
Note:
Settings changes can take up to 1.5 hours to propagate to the background sync process.

Automatic creation of PIMS orders from Shopify checkout events.
Improved Order Reliability
Automatic PIMS health verification prevents order loss during server outages.
Prerequisites
Before setting up PIMS Sync, ensure the following are in place:
- PIMS Server with a configured server URL
- At least one Shopify store connected in Weevio Cloud (Settings → Integrations → Shopify)
- PIMS shipping and discount part codes created for order sync
